MEET YOUR JUDGES!
We're excited to introduce the three judges who will be joining us for this year's Youth, Beginner, and Advanced Line Dance Competition! Each judge brings valuable experience as both a line dancer and competition judge, along with a genuine passion for helping dancers grow and succeed.
Most importantly, they're here to cheer you on! While they'll be scoring performances, this event is all about having fun, building confidence, and celebrating your love of dance. Whether you're stepping onto the competition floor for the very first time or you're an experienced dancer looking for a new challenge, this is your chance to learn, perform, and enjoy the experience.
Our judges understand that every great dancer started as a beginner, and they are looking forward to seeing your enthusiasm, effort, and personality shine. Don't worry about being perfect- focus on having fun, doing your best, and enjoying every moment on the dance floor.
So take a deep breath, smile, and dance your heart out! We can't wait to see what each of you brings to the floor. Good luck, and most of all... have fun!
David Interlicchia
With over 30 years of line dancing teaching experience, a studio owner, and a seasoned competition judge, David knows exactly what it takes to stand out. He loves to teach Beginners new dances, and how to build their confidence!
David has been a line dance instructor for 37 years. He is a fulltime certified dance instructor and is the director of Dance Biz in Rochester, NY. He continues to choreograph many new line dances for his students to enjoy. David has become a dance instructor because of his natural love for dance and teaching.
Deanna Interlicchia
Deanna brings a powerful mix of technical skill, creativity, and
performance expertise to the panel. She is especially encouraging and supportive to new dancers!
Deanna has been dancing for over 35 years, including her years as a competitive dancer from ages 7–18. She went on to teach at Dance Biz for 15 years and choreographed three high school musicals.
In addition to her background in performance and instruction, she has been an avid line dancer for two decades.
Jenny Kron
Driven by a passion for line dancing and a commitment to growing the dance community, Jenny has quickly established herself as a competitor, instructor, event organizer, and leader. In just over two and a half years, she has competed in five line dance competitions, most recently earning a Top 3 placement at the Standard Western Line Dance Competition in Detroit, Michigan. This accomplishment qualifies her to compete at the National Level in Nashville, Tennessee, in December 2026.
Beyond competition, she has taught advanced line dance classes, helping experienced dancers refine their skills and build confidence. She also organized, planned, and successfully hosted an Advanced Line Dancing Competition in Buffalo, New York, in early 2026, demonstrating her dedication to creating opportunities for dancers of all levels.
As a judge for this competition, she is committed to providing a fair, encouraging, and positive experience for every participant. She is excited to help foster an event that welcomes beginners, offers opportunities for advanced dancers to showcase their talents, and encourages young dancers to become involved in the line dancing community.
She believes line dancing is for everyone, regardless of age or experience, and hopes this competition inspires dancers to challenge themselves, build confidence, and become part of a supportive and growing community.
